Location: the hotel was short walk to centre of village, sea and Barnstaple. It also was to the landing area. Our double room was equipped with central heating, iron and ironing board, and a TV.

Exceedingly well-fitted rooms, combining traditional comfort and modern amenities. The breakfast offered a fantastic range of choices, and the setup eliminated any scrambling for condiments or drinks.
The hotel lacks dinner service, which may be inconvenient for those wanting a complete on-site dining experience. There's also a public car park a bit of a walk from the hotel, and parking fees apply, which could add to your budget. If you're sensitive to noise, the church bells might be an annoyance during the evenings if windows are left open.

I stayed in the Beautiful Double Room for 1 night and it was fantastic. The room was beautifully decorated and really spacious yet cozy. The bed was super comfortable with lovely, luxurious bedding. It was spotlessly clean, and every detail was thought out. Breakfast was delicious, and it was such a nice touch to have a complimentary cream tea waiting for us on arrival. Just a heads up, the church bells can be a bit loud at night if you leave the window open!

We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed tea and coffee upon our arrival, which was such a nice touch! The pretty garden was perfect for relaxing, especially while sipping some delightful cream tea. The only downside was the occasional noise, but it didn’t affect our stay one bit. Definitely grab some of the homemade jams at breakfast! 😊

The room was beautifully decorated, spacious yet cozy, and clean. Each day, our tea and coffee supplies were replenished, and we especially enjoyed the lovely garden where we had a good cream tea on arrival. Breakfast was really good, with a great variety of delicious options. Caroline, our host, was cute.
The only downside was the church bells ringing at night.
